The 32nd Annual Parker County Peach Festival takes place on July 9, 2016, in Historic Downtown Weatherford. The event starts at 8 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m., and it features over 200 arts, crafts, activity and food stations. Shop for unique and often handmade treasures, or you can even get an early start on your holiday shopping list.

peachesThe Peach Pedal Bike Ride offers three race lengths: 61 miles, starting at 7:30 a.m., 39 miles, starting at 7:45 a.m., and 8 miles, starting at 8 a.m. If you’re been cycling and working to achieve your fitness goals, you can cross this one off your list — on vacation!

The event also features children’s activities and a food competition. If you’re a pro at dominoes, enter the “42” Tournament and play all the way to the top! And of course, it wouldn’t be a summer event without live music. The Peach Festival features three stages of live entertainment. Admission is just $5 for adults and free for kids 12 and under.

Giddy Up to the Hometown Heritage Stampede

ropingThe Hometown Heritage Stampede is an annual festival that celebrates Weatherford’s western heritage. It will take place on November 7, 2015 in Historic Downtown Weatherford from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Travel back in time as you swing a lasso and compete against friends and family. Put on your dancing boots and tap along to Buffalo Bill’s Cowboy Band and Buttermilk Junction.

Children will enjoy attractions specifically designed for them, and everyone will love the musical performances. Take a ride on a real pony or indulge in some terrific antique shopping. Who knows? You may just find a treasure! If you work up an appetite, head over to the food vendors to grab a delicious treat. Then watch the Texas Trick Ropers perform stunts and tricks that will leave you cheering for more!

peachThe Parker County Peach Festival will take place on Saturday, July 11 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is just $5, and kids 12 and under can attend for free. The Festival is held in Historic Downtown Weatherford, and will feature over 200 arts, crafts, food and activity booths. If you’re feeling competitive, participate in the Peach Festival Food Competition. All entries must incorporate peaches in some way. Do you have what it takes to win?

Dance to live music on three stages, with one dedicated to the kids. Your children will have a blast participating in activities designed just for them. Stay active over the weekend and join the Peach Pedal Bike Ride. The race includes 8-mile, 26-mile, 39-mile and 61-mile courses. Online registration is open until Friday, July 10 at noon, and starts at just $25. Proceeds will help provide scholarships and assistance to students through the Weatherford College Foundation.

Spend Valentine’s Day on the Dance Floor

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Center of Hope, an organization that provides second-chance scholarships for the residents of Parker County. There will also be a silent auction and a contest for king and queen.
