Southeast Texans are looking forward to March 31 to April 9, the dates of a huge local event – the Montgomery County Fair.

It will feature a rodeo, entertainment, livestock shows, contests, pageants and food. The rodeo on March 31 and April 1, held at the Woodforest National Bank Arena, will be an exciting exhibition of amazing stunts. Talented people in the community will compete in the handicrafts, needlework, horticulture, photography and fine arts shows. The fair will also include a pet parade, horseshoe pitching contest and much more. Every member of the family will find something to enjoy.

Josh Ward Concert

Country music star Josh Ward will present a concert at 7:45 p.m. on March 31 at the Woodforest National Bank Arena. Some of the genre’s founding fathers have influenced his traditional style. Admission is $10 online or $12 at the gate, and parking is $5.

On April 7, the Real Texas Gun Show will be held at the KOA event center.

Our park will also resume weekend themed activities at the end of May. Plan now to make several spring and summer camping trips here, so you can fish, hike and relax in the great outdoors. The current weather, which isn’t too warm or too chilly, makes it the perfect time to come.

Things to Do in Lake Conroe

Lake Conroe is known for being a great place to engage in water sports of all kinds. In addition, the community offers great entertainment on a regular basis. A classic holiday play will be showing this weekend, and a talent competition will be held in January.

Miracle on 34th Street

We all treasure warm-hearted Christmas movies and stories that have been a part of the American holiday landscape for decades. One example is Miracle on 34th Street, a play that you can enjoy at the Crighton Theatre. The main character is Kris Kringle, an elderly man in a retirement home who gets a Santa job at Macy’s. Showtimes are at 8 p.m. on Friday and at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets range from $15 to $22.

Montgomery County’s Got Talent

On January 13 at the Crighton Theatre, people from the area will compete in a talent show. At 7:30 p.m., musicians, singers, dancers and poets will entertain an audience, and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. Tickets may be purchased online starting December 19.

Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA is the place to be on October 29, when a Halloween celebration will be held.

The event will include trick-or-treating and a haunted hayride along with a costume contest and DJ party. In addition, the park will have a site-decorating contest and award a great prize for first place. The fun begins at 6 p.m.

Texas Renaissance Festival

Step back into 16th century England at the Texas Renaissance Festival in the town of Todd Mission. Hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to the event each year to see costumed actors portray characters of the past. Each weekend has a different theme that involves activities, games, food and entertainment of an era presented as authentically as possible. Festivalgoers can participate in an array of contests including best and worst costume. Attending this gala can be compared to entering into a fantasy.
