Traders Village

traderThose at Dallas / Arlington KOA who adore the sport of shopping will have a grand time going to Traders Village in Grand Prairie, termed by the locals as America’s #1 Flea Market. This term is appropriate because the market has more than 3,500 dealers every weekend who sell practically everything under the sun. Additionally, it is unique, since patrons are permitted to trade as well as buy merchandise.

Part of the appeal of shopping in such places is the thrill of the hunt, as you never know what delights you will come across. I once found Currier and Ives glasses at a flea market for a quarter a piece.

So don your comfortable walking shoes and head over to Traders Village for a day of browsing. By no means is the merchandise restricted to items for women. Men can find bargains on tools, auto accessories and electronics, in addition to sporting gear and sports memorabilia. Items for women are too numerous to mention but include furniture, soap and clothing, along with jewelry, cookware and gourmet coffee.

Our park is a drivable distance to many attractions in the area. Visit our website and make your reservations today.

A Christmas Carol

Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol, will be presented at the Kalita Humphrey Theatre starting November 20 and continuing through the month of December. Campers at Dallas / Arlington KOA can launch their Christmas season by attending this heartwarming play that portrays the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge from a selfish, mean-spirited man into a generous man filled with joy.

Another lovely event coming up is the Christmas Market on November 29 through December 15 at Rangers Ballpark. An enchanting affair, the market is similar to those held in Germany during the Christmas season. The free event will feature German food and entertainment, as well as arts, crafts and gifts.

Those looking for a restaurant open on Thanksgiving Day can go to the Thanksgiving Buffet at the Admiral Hotel in Arlington. The price for an adult is $14.94.
