Zilker Park Kite Festival
Take advantage of the windy weather of late winter by going to the Zilker Park Kite Festival on March 5. The free event will be a delightful day of music, food and kite flying. Trophies will be awarded for the winners of various contests, including the highest, steadiest and most unusual kite, along with the smallest and largest kite. The oldest and youngest kite flier will receive an award as well. Even if you prefer not to participate, the festivities will be fun to watch. The address of the park is 2100 Barton Springs Road.
South by Southwest 2017
Anyone who loves the arts will want to attend South by Southwest 2017, which will be held on March 10 to 19 in the Austin Convention Center. It is a large festival that showcases the interactive, film and music industries.
March 11 to 25 are the dates of Rodeo Austin, one of the top events of its kind in the country. It’s quite an affair, as it will involve a carnival, food, shows and attractions. At the rodeo competitions, you can expect to see steer wrestling, bull riding, barrel racing and much more. The location is 9100 Decker Lake Road.
Cirque du Soleil
Mark your calendars for March 15 to 19, when the Cirque du Soleil will be presented at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park. Tickets start at $46. The amazing skill of the performers makes the show wonderful entertainment.
