Visitors to San Angelo always find plenty of things to do. In addition to events, the city has an array of attractions, museums, gardens, city parks, theaters and nightlife.
On the third Thursday of every month, join the locals for the Downtown Stroll. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can wonder through a delightful variety of galleries and art exhibits as well as browse through beautiful hand-painted furniture and ceramics. Live music along with complementary beverages and snacks are a part of the event. It’s also a good occasion to tour museums, stop at the library and drop into one of the restaurants for a nice meal.
The Planetarium at San Angelo University offers fascinating shows to the public every Thursday. At 7 p.m., you can watch Solar Superstorms, and at 8 p.m., you can watch Lewis and Clark: Great Journey West. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children, seniors and military.
