The Bishop Harvest Art Fest on November 25 and 26 comes just in time for the launch of the Christmas shopping season. Held at the 1832 Farmers Market in downtown Bastrop, the extravaganza offers handmade arts and crafts from area artists and artisans. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wassail Fest

On November 26, participating shops and stores downtown will be offering patrons cups of wassail at the Wassail Fest. You can cast your vote for the enterprise serving the best tasting recipe for the holiday beverage.

Christmas Parade

The city’s Christmas Parade on December 10 will feature more than 100 floats and participants. This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays.” Hours are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

BJ Thomas

Songs of BJ Thomas like “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” and “Hooked on a Feeling” made him a household name. Quite a number of years have passed since this remarkable singer came on the scene, but his voice remains unchanged. He will perform on November 4 at 7:30 p.m.
