Come out to Austin’s New Year at Auditorium Shores on December 31, 2015 from 4 – 10 p.m. Enjoy an alcohol-free, family-friendly event to celebrate 2016. Celebrate diversity and the creativity of Austin with visual arts, storytellers, fire dancers and more! Performances start at 4 p.m. on the Lake Stage with Shawn Nelson, and Kalu James at 4:30 p.m. on the Oak Stage. Performances include a motorcycle zoo, the Flying Balalakai Bros with Gypsy folk music, Sky Candy, an aerial drama group, and more!
The event is totally free, so you can achieve your resolution of saving money! The event will close with a fireworks finale at 10 p.m. If you work up an appetite, stop by one of the food trucks for a tasty bite. From hot dogs to lobster rolls, tacos and BBQ, there are plenty of options. Browse through public art displays, like Earth Mother by Yuliya Lanina, KNOT by George Sabra and more. Then come home to Bastrop/S.E. Austin/Colorado River KOA and kick up your boots!
