On the third Saturday of every month, head to downtown San Angelo for Cactus Market Days to shop for local craft items. Vendors will present an enticing array of merchandise, including clocks, bird houses and jewelry, along with wood crosses, woodwork and paintings. Handmade soaps and candles are available as well. These local markets are so much fun because you can find unique items. This month’s event will be held on July 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You’ll also want to visit the Concho Valley Farmers’ Market, which is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday throughout the summertime. In addition to fresh fruit and vegetables, you’ll find local specialties and an assortment of organic food. The market is located at 609 South Oaks, and the hours are from 7 a.m. to sellout.
Another event to put on your calendar is the Art Walk on July 18, a time when galleries, museums and merchants are open from 5 to 9 in the evening. Live music is also included.
